Partners in Green: USGBC Building Installs HardCore Ornamental

When the US Green Building Council (USGBC) decided to renovate its Long Island Chapter headquarters in Hauppague, New York, they held each component of the design to the highest standard. To be considered for inclusion in the project, the flooring and finishes had to include environmental attributes that were aligned with USGBC standards in addition to being durable and easy to maintain. So, when the time came to choose flooring for the reception area and hallways, Parterre was a natural choice for USGBC-LI executive director Vince Capogna and supplier Task Floors.

The design team selected HardCore: Ornamental Slate to blend the warm and cool tones in the newly renovated space. “As a member of the USGBC, we were especially excited to be part of this project. Environmental responsibility is extremely important to us, and we’re glad to be aligned with an organization that’s transforming buildings to complement our environment and enhance our communities,” muses Parterre President T. Fred Roche.

The installation in the USGBC building helps us bring our passion for sustainability to the forefront. At Parterre, we want to exceed expectations in both our product and service.
