The benefit of selecting LVT for interior commercial projects is its low maintenance. Parterre LVT and rigid core click products feature a polyurethane coating to naturally help protect it from moisture, stains, scratches, and scuffs. For certain commercial projects, using the right topical products may further protect it. So, how do you decide between wax or finish?
Although the terms are often used interchangeably, there is a difference between these two products. Wax, which is generally derived from carnauba wax and requires special buffing equipment per application, is not recommended for protecting luxury vinyl flooring. The use of a synthetic floor finish is recommended for areas prone to scuffing or scratching. When applied correctly, floor finish provides a protective barrier, shine and adds to the longevity of the floor.
